Leith Hill Don Cooper

RPS London Landscapes:Leith Hill

Event info

Our event this month was suggested by group member, Don Cooper.

Join us as we explore the highest point in south east England.

There are two meeting points:- (i) Dorking station car park at 10.45 for those travelling by train or prepared to offer lifts; Or (ii) Starveal Corner Car Park at 11.00 for those not wishing to offer a lift. Dorking is just 50 minutes by train from Victoria or Waterloo Stations.

Ultimately, we will all meet at the car park and walk up the trail to Leith Hill Castle (about half a mile). Once there we will explore the surrounding area with its 360˚ views giving great potential for panorama shots.

Please note if the weather on the day is unsuitable (no views) we may postpone the event.

All details will be confirmed in due course.

Any further queries please contact the event organiser, details below.

Please Note:

  • There are no facilities at the car park or on Leith Hill
  • The footpath from the car park, although maintained, is not paved and has loose gravel or similar in some places
  • The visit involves walking up and over a hill
  • Participants need come be prepared for spending four hours on and around Leith Hill
