London:Bookworms March Meeting
Event info
Meetings of the Bookworm Club take place monthly, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month when a member of the Group introduces the work of a photographer of their choice.
This month Kate Wentworth will look at Sally Mann’s ‘visceral and visionary’ memoir Hold Still, and at Sally Mann; a thousand crossings, the book of her exhibition in 2018 at the Washington National Gallery of Art. The recipient of many awards, including HonFRPS and the RPS Centenary medal, Sally Mann’s work is highly personal, including Immediate Family (her children), explorations of the American South, the marks left by slavery, and mortality.
