London Street October Photowalk Waterloo to Walworth Road

Our October Photowalk will take us from Waterloo Station to the bottom of Walworth Road via Lower Marsh, Lambeth North, IWM Gardens, West Square and Elephant and Castle.  

Our walk will give many opportunities for photography, including, once we reach Walworth Road, East Street Market.  The distance is about 5kms and the walking is quite easy, so there should be plenty of time to enjoy your photography and each others' company!. 

We are not the first London RPS Members to record East Street Market:  when I was looking online for 'something interesting' to add to this post, here's what came up!.  Thank you, David Pollard!

But to return to Saturday 9th. 

We will meet under the clock at Waterloo Station ready for a 10:30am start.  The station has a Pret on the main concourse and a Benugo's upstairs too - so a choice of coffees should be available for those who wish as well as other (free) facilities! 

There are plenty of pubs, cafes and shops along the way - especially in Walworth Road - for those in need of refreshments.  At the end of our walk there will be an opportunity for lunch at 'Arments', a traditional London pie and mash restaurant, where choices include vegetarian, steak and sweet options too - https://armentspieandmash.com/our-food/

For your return journey there are many buses going to Elephant & Castle, to Peckham, East Dulwich, Brixton, Clapham, Euston and so on, or it is a 15 minute walk to Kennington Underground Staton.
