London Bookworms January 2022 Meeting
Event info
A Regular Monthly Meeting when a Member of the Group introduces the work of a photographer of their choice.
This month we will be learning about the work of Lee Friedlander.
Lee Friedlander was part of the classic mid-20th century generation of American photographers that included Garry Winogrand, Diane Arbus and William Eggleston. Now in his eighties, he has spent decades documenting what he terms America’s “social landscape”. His principal medium is the photobook, of which he has produced a bewildering number. Fred Sansom will discuss Friedlander First Fifty, which ranges across the first fifty books.
Being offered as a HYBRID Meeting, meaning that you can join IN PERSON at the Canonbury Tavery or ONLINE via zoom. Please be sure to sign up to the correct ticket type when you register.
Pre-registration is essential. Groups are deliberately kept small to enable good conversation and exchange of ideas.
Joining instructions/links to the Video-Conference will be sent out before the meeting to those registered on this website. Any problems please e-mail the organiser: LondonBookworms@rps.org
