Tonight Roger Towell ARPS will introduce the work of Lee Miller (1907 - 1977): War Photographer, Fashion Photographer and Socialite and will lead a discussion.
An excellent book by Hilary Roberts, Lee Miller: A Woman’s War, (Thames & Hudson,2015) shows how Miller documented the impact of the Second World War on women’s lives in Europe. The book, with an introduction by her son Antony Penrose, was produced to accompany the exhibition of her work at the Imperial War Museum in London in 2015.
