London Midweek Explorers November 2022

The meet up point Costa, 118 Westminster Bridge Rd, London SE1 7XE at 11:00 for an 11:15 start. It's located across the street from Lambeth North tube (Bakerloo tube, also buses are available).

We will make our way down Kennington Road to the Imperial War Museum, the park in which it is located offers opportunities for photos. After this we make our way to the Thames and the Albert Embankment. We are heading to Tate Britain, in Millbank, which is located on the opposite bank of the river, where an exhibition of Bill Brandt's photos and lunch await.  The Exhibition is FREE to enter and worth a visit. It's not a large exhibition but apart from the photos there are display cabinets containing photobooks and copies of Picture Post showing how Brandt's photos were used.

There are opportunities for different types of photography, eg urban, street, city parks, the Thames etc

Be sure to come prepared for the weather, which at this time of year can be very variable!  Wear appropriate footwear and take care!
