Online Scottish Photoforums

I am pleased to say we are running another of our popular Photoforums. These are not advisory days. If you have been before, you will know the format is relaxed but hopefully informative. We will be using the Zoom medium.

To provide constructive feedback on portfolios of work, informed by panel members, following the past experience for Scottish members of a relaxed, informal day.

Format of the event

A fixed number of applicants can book online to have feedback on a fixed number of images which are not panel specific but should have a connecting theme which the photographer has written a few words about. This allows all photographic levels to show work and receive something constructive.

One panel member gives a few minutes feedback and then I ask others present if they have anything to add.

After a reasonable time, I move on to the next person showing work.

A fixed time –2 hours maximum and a 15 minutes time for each showing work.

8 showing work and any number of observers who do not show work.

Those showing work send images and a few words about the theme of the work to me via drop box. I will send the link or email me at scotland@rps.org, and I forward them on to panel members prior to the event. 6 images for comment and none to be added on the day.

Images to be JPEG sRGB 1400px wide or 1050px high and less than 2 Mb.

On the day, I share the images on screen so that the audience can see what we are talking about. I will mute all except the speaker during the initial discussion and then invite one or two others to speak to avoid chaos.

Sunday 28th November at 16:00, Edinburgh time

RPS members showing work                      £3

Non-RPS members showing work               £5

All observers (Please see separate listing to book)

Once registered, I will email the zoom link to attendees.
