LRPS Online Advisory Day - Spectator

Event info

Unfortunately we have had to cancel this event but will be scheduling one for Spring 2021.

The South East Region is hosting online Advisory Days for the Licentiate level (LRPS) on Monday 18th and Wednesday 20th January 2021. Advice will be given for print panels and images for screen.

This web page is for RPS members and non-members attending as a spectator. If you wish to attend for advice, please click here.

Members and non-members can get advice on their body of work before applying for the Distinction or attend as a spectator to learn about the Distinctions process and see examples of successful and unsuccessful panels.

Working for a Distinction takes you on a personal journey which will improve your technical skills, develop your creativity, and broaden your understanding of photography.

As this is an online event, all images will be (re)viewed digitally. The advisor will give feedback on the intended print submissions against the criteria for the Licentiateship distinction, but obviously cannot comment on the print quality.

To attend the event, you will need to download and install Zoom. A link to join the event will be emailed on Sunday 17 January 2021. Please do not share the link with anyone. The number of attendees is strictly limited to 6 participants and 30 observers.

Who are the Advisors?

Cathy Roberts FRPS and Stewart Wall ARPS

The programme is split across 2 days with each session lasting two hours. To get the maximum benefit from the Advisory Days we recommend that participants and spectators attend on both days.

Day 1 – The Advisors will explain the Distinctions process and the criteria for achieving the Licentiate standard. They will also be showing examples of successful panels and in a break with tradition, at least one panel that unfortunately was not successful.

Day 2 – Is reserved for those seeking advice to discuss their body of work with the advisors, who are current panel members, in a professional and friendly atmosphere.

Please do not bring any of your own images to the event on the off chance that you can receive advice. Only panels which have been pre-booked will be assessed.
