This workshop is suitable for Intro level

Guide for who should attend this course: Those who want to gain an overview and understanding of the tools and techniques for working with colour

What will you learn:  Make changes to your image by applying Adjustment Layers without changing the pixels of your original image.  Best practice for working non destructively.  This workshop explores the adjustment layers to change colour, hue, saturation, exposure, brightness and contrast.  Adjustment Layers also automatically create a layer mask so that you can control which parts of your image are effected by the adjustment layer.  See also how adjustment layers can be applied to selections.  This workshop introduces the concept of working with layer masks, how to paint on them (and why). Inverting and modifying masks.  This is an introduction to the tools that enable you to work with colours.  The importance of the foreground and background colours, where they are used in other tools.  How to use the Colour Picker and Eyedropper.  Working with hue, saturation and brightness.  A look at the colour and swatches panel. The Colour Wheel and Hue cube, RGB values and Pantones.  You will also create some lovely images that can be saved to use as backgrounds in other images and have an introduction to basic layer blend modes. Selective hue and saturation changes.
