Margaret Salisbury, based in Prestatyn, North Wales needs little introduction to RPS members and those making up the committed photographic community. Margaret holds many prestigious photographic distinctions including FRPS MFIAP FIPF FSITTP FSINWP AWPF APAGB and the RPS Fenton Medal.

Margaret is known as The Welsh Dragon and always sends out her prints with a custom made Dragon signature print on the back and always delivers her lectures including her signature Dragon.
Margaret's first love, since she first took up photography using film printed in the darkroom, has always been printing images in monochrome and believes the final act in production is "making the Print".
This talk will be her approach to her subjects, the choices we have, the way she sees her subjects and how and why she produces her images. Starting with her original images she shows a range of Genres including:- Pictorial, Landscapes, People and Animals, Portraiture, Nature, Travel and Creative images, examples of which she feels are suited to Monochrome.
In her career Margaret has featured in many exhibitions and she has travelled world-wide to lecture, judge and select exhibitions.

Margaret has for many years been the acknowledged go-to person for advice on obtaining photographic distinctions and qualifications from many organisations. Margaret estimates she has assisted over one thousand people to obtain distinctions and improve their photography.

The lecture will be formed of two 40-minute presentations with a comfort break in between followed by Q&A.
