Making a First AV Sequence - Ian Bateman FRPS

The session will cover how to put an AV sequence together, including image sizing and aspect ratio, sequencing, audio recording, special effects and publishing options.

Ian will discuss briefly the RPS Distinction category at LRPS, ARPS and FRPS that incorporates AV as part of the Film, Digital and Multimedia Category. https://rps.org/qualifications/film-distinction/

Ian Bateman, originally from South Wales, has been a Member of the RPS for forty years, achieving LRPS in 1982, ARPS in 1992, and FRPS in 2003, which was the first ever “F” awarded for digitally submitted AV sequences.

Ian also holds MPAGB, APAGB and AV-FIAP certifications and has served on both the RPS and PAGB distinctions panels in AV, and was Chairman of the RPS International AV Festival for seven years. He has judged numerous AV Competitions and Festivals in the UK and abroad and is currently the President of the Western Counties Photographic Federation.
