Cocoa is an American documentary photographer whose work explores women’s issues and identity in her native Alabama.
Currently back in her native America she returns to her London base in September, ready for her visit to us in October.
She served seven years as a commercial photographer, gained an MFA in photography and an MA in photojournalism so brings a broad skill set to the stage.
Widely exhibited since 2016 she has had exhibitions in Florence Italy, Alabama USA, Havana Cuba and London to mention just a few.
Belle her innovative project on women in Alabama explores a world of shame and silence demonstrates an empathetic and moving connection to the subjects and in Cocoa’s words a “transformative experience”.
She received the RPS postgraduate bursary in 2019 and was featured in the RPS journal.
The room at The Dolphin Hotel is on the first floor with no lift or facilities to get to the room other than the stairs. Also we need to remind attendees that refreshments are available all day and lunches will be available but must be pre booked on the day before the event starts. No food to be consumed anywhere on the premises if not purchased at the hotel

If cancellation is made more than 7 days before the event refund will be made less a £5 administration fee, if within 7 days of the event no refund will be made.
The Region reserve the right to cancel the event if the event is not viable due to the number of bookings.
