One of the major fairs in the country, leading to the closure of two major roads for 6 days, St Giles' Fair dates back to 1625. It grew in Victorian times as the railways allowed people from further afield to join. It is a great opportunity for low-light street photography among other things. We meet outside a pub on the edge of the fair and then cruise the area for a few hours before retreating back to it for a well-deserved pint and to swap stories.
