Getting out of your comfort zone and developing confidence in your own photography
Richard Olpin has been a member of the RPS for around 10 years now, and on the Western Region committee for many years too.
He has been a professional photographer and photography tutor for 12 years. Through that time he has mentored many photographers from novice to busy working professionals. Many of Richard’s students have gone on to achieve RPS distinctions and other awards.
In his talk, Richard will first introduce us to a little of his own photographic journey from dabbling in his father’s darkroom as a child to shooting fashion in Paris, teaching in Prague and publications in international magazines.
Known as a bit of a maverick amongst his photographic peers, Richard is not afraid to ‘say it how it is’. Based on his many years experience as a successful teacher he will dispel a few common myths and answer some of the many questions he hears from his students, which he offers to help you overcome some of the self-limiting excuses which hold us all back from achieving our best work.
Please register for this event via the booking online button. Feel free to invite friends, family or colleagues who aren’t members to join you as our guest, but remember to register each of them too. Everybody is welcome to join us for what promises to be a very informative and fun morning.
Look forward to seeing you on 10 May.
