Bringing Prestigious Presenters and Inspiring Photographic Workshops to the Kent Area

Spring On.....

Towards, Spring, Summer 2021 and Beyond.......

While the ongoing situation is still uncertain and with nobody knowing the speed of our journey out of restrictions, the DIG South East Centre have decided to continue running Virtual Events for the foreseeable future. We will react as and when restrictions lessen and if we can offer some Small Face to Face Events, in a sensible distanced way we will try.

Our 2021 Workshops have proved a great success!

January 2021 saw the start of our Virtual Online Workshops, and below you can read about those that have been completed.  But we are already in discussions to repeat some of them and working on designing new ones.  Keep an eye out for the release of the new Workshops but be warned, they are snapped up!

We also enjoyed two Online talks from Professional Photographers, Nat Coalson and Robert Canis.

Developing a Creative Approach to Photography with Glenys Garnett

Glenys ran a three part Workshop, the purpose of the sessions was to give  some tools that could enable the 'Student' to approach subject matter more creatively, discuss ideas, offer technical advice and look at ways of developing creative approaches to editing and presentation of images in groups.

We hope Glenys will offer further Workshops.

Intentional Camera Movement on the Shoreline with Roger Crocombe

Roger planned some workshops with a difference. An Online Workshop in two parts with instruction and advice on getting the shots using ICM. This was followed by an unaccompanied photographic shoot and finally a chance to present your finished images for feedback.

These workshops sold out very quickly and Roger has plans for using ICM in other situations.

Textures and Brushes Workshops with Celia Henderson

Celia combined her love of photography and passion for Photoshop with that of teaching and learning and offered us a range of Photoshop workshops where she  inspired, motivated, entertained and showed techniques and tools to increase the 'Student' skills to progress the ability to produce Fine Art style images.

Celia ran three Texture and four Brushes Workshops which were a sell out and already with a waiting list for the next ones.

Lightroom Workshops with Joe Houghton

We are thrilled to be working with Joe Houghton to help lots of us demystify Lightroom!.  We initially tried three Workshops, two which are open to many and one more exclusive for just 10 participants, the ultimate goal here to produce a panel of processed images of your choice for Joe to assess and offer advice.

Joe is also willing to expand his repertoire of workshops for the DIG SE Centre, if these are successful, so watch this space.
