Another in our series “We are all in it together”. Member Andy Thorpe was furloughed and took some time to create his personal lockdown project "Things" that fell out of regular use when lockdown started.” The project can be viewed at https://www.peopleplacesthingsphoto.com/p/85336brs/furloughed-13-things-not-used-during
Andy is turning the project into a photo book, with a few words for each photo and a cover that shows a coronavirus image with 13 prongs on a circle.
Perhaps Andy’s project might inspire you to add other "things" that fell out of regular use when lockdown started?
Here’s what Andy said about his project:
My favourites are the razor, the trousers and the bread bag. The latter shows the best before date of March 23rd, when official full lockdown started. It's almost a best before date for life in general... at least for now!
I did have some vague ideas about sequencing them, plus some things could be categorised as "personal" and others "household". It probably doesn't matter. I can say however that the photograph that inspired the series was the razor because I realised I hadn't used it in over a month and then I thought there must also be other things I hadn't used over the same period. The project nearly involved a series on places I hadn't visited (e.g. a bus stop, the office, barber's shop, etc.), but it probably would have been better to show the limited number of places that I did visit during the lockdown
