Solitary Tree By Eileen Kershaw

My inspiration for photography comes from the landscape around me as I live in Cumbria!  Being East of the Northern Lakes means the sunsets, the lighting and the changes in climate provide some dramatic images over short periods of time.  The Solitary Tree is less than10 minutes from home down a quiet country lane where I walk with my border collie, Millie, several times a week.  The tree itself sits in a position where the lighting from the West - at various times during the day - make the subject more interesting; particularly with the seasonal changes as well as the daily changes in weather conditions.  I had taken many images for this project but on assembling them these six depicted the depth of colour and seasonal changes most dramatically which I particularly like.
