I'd describe myself as an enthusiastic amateur photographer. I was given my first DSLR some 11 years ago as a 40th birthday present (shh....) and have gradually developed my photography skills since then. I live in the Chilterns AONB and previously in the Caribbean and hence enjoy landscape photography.

I joined the RPS last year and currently participate in both e-critique and processing circles. I completed the open university course in 2019 and am currently considering whether to embark upon the LRPS journey having attended an advisory day.

An aspect of photography I enjoy is that it drags me outdoors which is a complete contrast to my day job and I've hence joined the Landscape and Travel special interest group. The highlight of my photography thus far is being published on the front cover of an OS map (Explorer 181 Chiltern Hills North - although I've since noticed some elements of the shot I don't like!) and in the Chiltern Society's monthly magazine.
