Simon John Harvey

I first got interested in photography while at college in 1982. Back then I tended to photograph anything and everything. I studied a one year City & Guilds course in Photography and passed with Credit. My step-daughter Victoria was interested in becoming a model, so I did a number of shoots with her. I then focused on model portfolio development, joined a number of model and photographer sites, where I adopted the name 'Xanda', and met some very talented people who greatly inspired me. After a break, I completed two more photography courses to improve my technical skills and joined the Royal Photographic Society. I'm currently working towards an RPS distinction in Conceptual and Contemporary Photography.

In addition to being a photographer I'm also a writer, a full-time registered carer and director of a publishing company.
