Marion Sidebottom ARPS ARPS

My educational background is an interesting fusion of science and art which influences the way I perceive and interpret the world through my work. My Masters research took me on an incredible virtual journey around the world and through history to the current day via tree photography and helped inform my own photographic practice. In 2017 I was awarded Arts Council England Funding to be the Artist in Residence at the City of London Corporation's Epping Forest for a year for my project called "You Can't See the Trees for the Woods".

In 2018 I was awarded my Associate Distinction of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) and in 2019 I was thrilled to receive an RHS Silver Gilt Medal at the Botanical Art & Photography Show for a series called 'The Diversity of Beech Trees'. I teach 1:2:1 photography workshops in Essex and undertake commercial work.
