Neil Johansson ARPS

I have been interested in photography since I took it as an option for my Art A-Level back in the early 2000’s.

I then went to the University of Sheffield and studied Law, but returned to photography when I returned home.

I attained my LRPS distinction with the RPS in 2012.

My photography developed massively when I won the Silver Medal in the Urban Photo Fest 2013 Competition and also won a place on the Goldsmith International Urban Photography Summer School.

My work featured in the RPS Members Biennial 2017 which toured the UK and finished at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

I have had work feature in various newspapers including the Rhyl Journal and the Chester Chronicle.

My work has featured in photography magazines such as Black + White Magazine and Amateur Photographer Magazine.

I attained my ARPS distinction with the RPS in 2018.

My work has been exhibited in the Glasgow Gallery of Photography as well as the PhotoPlace Gallery in Vermont.

In 2020 I was awarded first place in the Amateur Photographer of the Year Round 5 City Life competition. My winning photograph featured in the Saturday 26-09-2020 edition of the magazine.

I am currently working on several long-term projects and also my FRPS panel.
