He contributed significantly to the success of the Landscape Special Interest Group as a founding committee member and the Chair for the maximum term of six years.

Announcing the recipients of The Royal Photographic Society Member Awards 2024 for those individuals who have made an excellent or outstanding contribution to the work of the Society.
Join us as we celebrate the 2024 recipients all of them have volunteered and worked tirelessly to support the society and deliver programmes for members.
For significant contributions to Distinctions through her role as an Assessor and to RPS Scotland where she co-ran the region alongside her husband over a 12 year period.
She has run the RPS Benelux Chapter since 2020 and has significantly contributed to its success, supporting an active group across Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Recognised for her significant contribution to the London Region, serving multiple roles and for mentoring as part of CafeArt for those suffering the effects of homelessness.
A photographer and photography educator working within communities surrounding his hometown of Nottingham, he was elected to the board in 2021 and instrumental in developing RPS Inclusion guidelines and promoting an inclusive membership.
The Royal Photographic Society Member Awards
The RPS Fenton Medal is named after Roger Fenton, one of the founders of the RPS who served for several years as its Honorary Secretary. It was first awarded in 1980 and since 1998 it carries with it Honorary Membership of the Society. No more than three or four Fenton Medals are awarded each year.
The award of the RPS Fenton Medal is made to a member or non-member who has made an excellent or notable contribution to the work of the Society.
The RPS President’s Medal, instituted by RPS President Simon Hill HonFRPS in 2005, replaced the RPS Members award. This medal was first Awarded in 2023 and comes with an Honorary Membership.
The RPS President’s Medal is Awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the Society over a sustained period. This is not normally a reward for service on a committee, but it does not exclude committee members where an outstanding contribution can be cited.
