Richard Ellis is an enthusiastic amateur photographer based in Ascot, Berkshire. His main interest is landscape photography and he has a passion for coastal and island locations.
Richard was a founding committee member of the Royal Photographic Society’s Landscape Group and the chair for six years. Supported by a multi-talented committee the group grew to over one thousand members during his tenure producing a diverse programme of workshops, residential events and talks.
Richard’s work has featured in exhibitions throughout the UK (Edinburgh, York, London, Bristol and Windsor) as well as in Croatia at Foto Klub Split. He contributed to the 2023 European-Chinese Photographic Art book. He is the author of two photo-location guides: one to Western Cornwall and the other to the Isles of Harris and Lewis.
Richard is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society.
