Japanese Chapter
The Royal Photographic Society Japan Chapter (RPSJ) was established in September 1996 by volunteers as one of RPS’s international chapters across the globe. We currently have some 30 active members.
Our key activities include the annual photo exhibitions held in Tokyo, Shimonoseki and Nagasaki, where each member contributes a couple of photos on a given theme. We also organise photo sessions, expert seminars on photographic knowledge, techniques, history and copyright, as well as get-togethers to facilitate interaction among the members. Our quarterly newsletter serves as our primary channel of communication. RPSJ was registered as a general incorporated association on 1 April 2019. We are committed to working towards the further improvement and development of photographic techniques through active exchanges among our members and with other international chapters.
