Want to create compelling images that immediately draw the eye and hold the viewer's attention?
To please the viewers eye, you need to understand the viewers eye works.
We will explore Gestalt Theory that explains the phycology and why certain rules of composition work.
This workshop has been designed to deliver valuable lessons for photographers of all skill levels. We highly recommend it as a great follow on from Simon’s ever popular one day zoom workshop ‘The Art of Creative Composition’
We will look how and when to use them and when to break the rules for effect.
When we understand why something works, it’s so much easier to put it into practice.
Key Learning Points:
– See composition in a new and simple way
– Learn different ways to add impact and really make your subject stand out
– Learn how to immediately draw the eye
– Learn how to quickly build narrative
– Master pictures of patterns and texture
– Create compositions that are playful with your audience
– Make the viewers minds fill in the blanks using the clues in the image
– Increase the viewers engagement in your images
So, let infectiously enthusiastic multi-award winning Photographer; Simon Ellingworth; share his composition secrets amassed over years with you.
Whilst Simon is evangelical about street photography and may use some images to illustrate learning points, the ideas explored and shared are suitable for all photographic genres.
Like all of Simon’s highly rated workshops, it will be interactive, inclusive, a safe learning environment and not recorded, thought provoking, will challenge your current thinking and introduce you to new ideas.
The complete slide deck will be sent to you afterwards for personal use only.
Registration is at 9:45am and the course will commence at 10am – this will give the tutor time to help those who might have issues.
