Paul Sansome in conversation with Rajen Nandwana

Paul is a professional fine art and travel photographer based in the UK and Vietnam. His artistic photography is produced to the highest standards and is released in strictly limited editions through exhibitions and online sales. Paul is also an experienced photography tutor and has led many tours to countries such as Italy, India, Vietnam, Iceland, Myanmar and Morocco and also travels on commissions.

Initially, Paul was almost exclusively a landscape photographer but in recent, pre-covid, years travel has occupied his professional work. Paul has been awarded in several international competitions including Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Landscape Photographer of the Year and has won several major awards in the Travel Photographer of the Year which will feature in the talk.

When Paul travels he looks for different and creative ways to represent the people and scenes that he encounters. Paul says, "I don't try to do something different for the sake of it but because I find it personally rewarding. The most satisfying part of my travel experience is meeting people and it is amazing how many friendly interactions I have had just by holding a camera". This talk will cover his approach and the way in which the scene may develop before the desired shot materialises.
