London:Naturally - Wimbledon Cannizaro Park POSTPONED

RPS have postponed all meetings, at least until the end of June, in line with Government advice relating to the COVID-19 pandemic

The London Naturally Group presents an informal Sunday morning stroll in Cannizaro Park.  A circular walk starting at Wimbledon station, Wimbledon is a National Rail, London Underground, and Tram link station and also accessible via numerous bus routes (57, 93,156 & 163).

We meet at Wimbledon station and then climb Wimbledon Hill Rd, wander through Wimbledon village and across Southside Common via Rushmere Pond to arrive at Cannizaro Park. We will then spend time photographing around the park which boasts a range of attractions including Lakes, Ponds and other water features, numerous gardens including a sunken garden, water garden, Azalea Dell, Mediterranean garden and rose garden. As well as a collection of rare trees and magnificent plants and shrubs that provide a home for a variety for birds and wildlife.

We will aim to complete the walk about 12:30 followed by optional lunch (at your own cost) at a Pub or Café in Wimbledon village before returning to Wimbledon Station. For those attending who wish to continue, the area also boast the Buddhapadipa Temple, Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and Wimbledon Windmill Museum.
