London:Naturally visit Highgate for a Walk in the Woods

The London Naturally Group presents a Sunday morning stroll through Queen’s and Highgate Woods.  This event is fully booked but there is a Waiting List which you are weelcome to join.  We will notify if we have cancellations.

We meet at Highgate tube station outside the Priory Gardens exit.

It’s autumn so what better than a walk in the woods? We’ll be taking in two on this walk.

We meet outside Highgate Tube Station in Priory Gardens. (Please ensure you take the correct exit from the station!)

From here it's a short walk to the entrance to Queen's Wood. This is an ancient wood with a mix of trees, mainly oak and hornbeam. There has been a protest, ongoing for the last few months, against the proposed felling of four oak trees due to a subsidence claim. Hopefully the trees will be saved. We will then continue to explore the woods up to the cafe where we'll stop for refreshments. Following that we’ll cross Muswell Hill Road for a circular walk through Highgate Woods, finishing back at Muswell Hill Road – a short walk from the tube station.

Some of the walk will be on unmade paths which could be muddy.  Please wear appropriate footwear and bring a drink to keep you hydrated.

Note: numbers are strictly limited due to social distancing requirements and it is essential to book your place online.

However, parking restrictions are not in force on Sundays so you may be able to find free parking in adjacent streets.
