London:Bookworms April Meeting
Event info
Meetings of the Bookworm Club take place monthly, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month when a member of the Group introduces the work of a photographer of their choice.
This month Roger Towell ARPS will explore the work of Robert Doisneau (1912 – 1994). Robert Doisneau was a French photographer, best known for his monochrome pictures taken in the streets and bistros of Paris. He influenced the “Humanist Photography” movement which was emerging during the early/mid 20th century and was amongst the early photojournalists. His image, “Le Baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville”, is widely recognised.
