RPS London:London Naturally London Loop Cockfosters / Barnet
Event info
For the Group's last event before their August summer break, the London Naturally Group presents a full day walk following the London Loop from Cockfosters to High Barnet.
We meet at Cockfosters tube station at 10:30am from here it is a short walk to join the path of the London Loop following Monken Hadley Common to Jack’s Lake. Jack’s Lake dates from the 1880’s a source of the Pymmes Brook. After a stop at Jack’s Lake we will continue onto Monken Hadley past the 12th century church and then stopping in Monken Hadley for a pub lunch, before continuing onto explore Hadley Green and Barnet Hill before ending our walk at High Barnet Station
Most of the walk will be on unmade paths, which could be muddy. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring a drink to keep you hydrated.
There are no refreshment points within the Common, so we have included the stop in Monken Hadley.
For for anyone who wants to stay for refreshments after the walk there are a number of Pubs, Cafés and Restaurants available as we walk back to High Barnet Station.
