Pat Couder & Ian Brash

Pat Couder CPAGB, BPE1, QPSA: “Although I come from a very creative family, I didn’t truly discover photography until my mid-forties when I purchased a Canon DSLR. I had no idea how to use it and kept it on full auto for 6 months. I enjoy all types of photography, traditional through to more creative and going out for a day with the camera is just as enjoyable as spending time being creative in Photoshop. I am a judge for both SPA (Surrey) and KCPA (Kent) federations.”

Ian Brash CPAGB, BPE3: “I started out in photography when I took holiday snaps when I was young which then progressed with achieving a GCE O Level in photography. I entered competitions and learnt my trade from visiting judges and speakers. I was working in the black and white darkroom but then digital came along and a whole new world opened up. I have been judging for the SPA (Surrey federation) for approximately 15 years.

Morning – Pat & Ian Collection. Their images sorted into a variety of genres which have gained them their distinctions and success in their local clubs. Some before and after images, how they were processed in software with hints and tips along the way.

Afternoon – Pat & Ian in Lockdown - This is where they edited each other’s images from their archives, processed creatively by each other and presented to show two different versions with explanations of how they were manipulated in software with hints and tips along the way.

An opportunity to experience a unique ‘double act’ and learn how the whole can be greater than the sum of the parts. A very unusual and inspiring event. not to be missed.
