‘The Way I See It’ and Much More
Like many Rosemary had a camera as a child but it was when her late husband Derry rekindled his interest in photography in the early 80s that she bought a camera, rather than risk carrying the tripod. The rest is history.
An intuitive photographer she focuses on the ‘the way I see it’, looking for her personal interpretation. In the landscape she may be drawn to simplicity or the intimate landscape. With other subjects it’s a case of ‘whatever takes my eye’. More recently IR has become an interest and she wonders why it took her so long.
A member of Spectrum Photo Art she exhibits regularly, in 2024 at Denbies Vineyard Gallery in Surrey (spectrumphotoart.co.uk). She is a PAGB judge, a lecturer and also enters National and UK International exhibitions.
Known to some of you as a Past-President of the RPS (2009-2011) today is just about ‘the way I see it’.
‘The Way I See It’ and Much More
Rosemary will first show some prints believing this is the best medium to display our images. These will be on display during the morning and lunch breaks allowing everyone to see them at close quarters.
In a digital presentation she will show a series of short collections in ‘The Way I See It’. – a special edition for this event.
A few other ideas will be on display, including her archive series of books. She will talk through how she approached and worked on these and show some on screen.
After a cancelled trip in 2021 she finally visited Japan in January 2024. She will take you to Tokyo and the magical landscape of trees and snow of Hokkaido.
