The Documentary Group is a special interest group within the RPS.  

To join the group, you must join the RPS as a member. Then you will have the option to select subject groups to join for a small additional fee (for Documentary, from 1 January 2026,  this is  £15).

The Documentary Group currently offer:

• Quarterly online magazine the 'Decisive Moment' (DM)
• eNewsletter typically published 6-8 times per year
• Free entry to Documentary Photography Awards  and touring UK exhibition 
• Free Engagement Talks (online via Zoom) by leading and emerging photographers
• Discount on our Workshops
• Support in developing your projects, including some 1-to-1 mentorship
• Access to our online Resources
• Local (regional) events including talks, exhibitions, meetings, photo walks and other activities
