Earlier this year we launched the open call for the 163rd International Photography Exhibition (IPE 163) and today we are thrilled to reveal the successful shortlisted photographers whose work was selected from over 4000 entries by our esteemed selection panel.
The shortlist selection features work from 279 photographers in 50 countries. The compelling selection demonstrates the breadth of contemporary image-making and storytelling that includes alternative approaches, new genres and an array of subjects.
Alongside a £4000 prize fund to support future photographic projects, for 2021 we introduced several new exciting awards including a two-week solo show and a photographic commission to create new work. The final exhibition selection and award winners, which will be chosen from prints in August, will be announced later this year.
