Next Theme: Objects

We’re excited to announce an open call for Royal Photographic Society members to submit images exploring the theme of “Objects”. They surround us every day, often carrying stories, memories, meaning, and beauty in unexpected ways. For this Member Photo Challenge, we invite entries to explore the theme of objects through your own photographic vision. From everyday items and treasured possessions to found objects, still life, architecture, and abstract imagery, we encourage you to consider how objects can inspire, communicate, and connect. We look forward to seeing the unique perspectives and creative interpretations this theme inspires.

Selected images will be featured in an upcoming issue of The RPS Journal, this is a wonderful opportunity to share your unique perspective and visual storytelling with the wider RPS community.

Connections

The theme Connections invited you to explore the fundamentals of photographic expression—light, contrast, form, and emotion.

This is an opportunity to explore and express the many ways we connect: with each other, with nature, places, memories or even ourselves. Whether your take is personal, abstract, documentary or conceptual, we welcome all photographic styles and approaches. The theme is wide open to interpretation.

With photographer Andy Pilsbury stepping in as our selector for this challenge, selected images will be proudly featured in the RPS Journal.
