The RPS Patron, HRH the Duchess of Cambridge, visited the Imperial War Museum in London to meet Holocaust survivors at the RPS exhibition Generations: Portraits of Holocaust Survivors.
Bringing together over 50 contemporary portraits of Holocaust survivors and their families, the exhibition shines a light on their lives and highlights our collective responsibility to cherish their stories.
The exhibition features new works from 14 leading photographers, including RPS Honorary Fellows Jillian Edelstein, Sian Bonnell and Joy Gregory, as well as Frederic Aranda, and two portraits taken by the Duchess at Kensington Palace in January 2020.
Pictured is the Duchess with Jillian Edelstein HonFRPS and the subject of her portrait, John Hajdu MBE, who survived the Holocaust in Hungary.
Generations: Portraits of Holocaust Survivors opens at RPS Gallery, Bristol on 27 January 2022.
In partnership with the Imperial War Museum, Jewish News, the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust and Dangoor Education.
