RPS Limited Edition Print Sale

Supporting Ukraine through Photography

The RPS limited-edition print sale is now live →

The violence in Ukraine is continuing with devastating consequences and the humanitarian crisis is desperate. Millions of people have no safe place to call home, lives are being lost and families are being separated. Hundreds of thousands of people have no access to food, water, medical care, heat, or electricity.

In response to requests from Members and at the initiative of the Board of Trustees, the RPS is working in association with the ‘Approaching Photography Group’ and with ‘PhotographyWorks’ to raise funds to support those impacted in Ukraine. Together, we are running a limited-edition print sale with all proceeds being donated to humanitarian aid in Ukraine through the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

Up to fifty RPS Fellows and Honorary Fellows have donated a photograph, which are sold in limited editions of five. The prints are available to buy for £50 (plus postage and packing)* on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prints will be individually numbered and accompanied with a stamp of authenticity and signed by RPS President, Simon Hill HonFRPS. The prints are up to 10 x 12 inches (30.4 x 40.5cm) and printed by Genesis Imaging.

Photographers taking part include: Frederic Aranda FRPS, Sian Bonnell HonFRPS, Harry Borden HonFRPS, Vanley Burke HonFRPS, Joe Cornish FRPS, Jillian Edelstein HonFRPS, Sue Flood FRPS, Brian Griffin HonFRPS, Jane Hilton HonFRPS, David Hurn HonFRPS, Karen Knorr HonFRPS, Daniel Meadows HonFRPS and Simon Roberts HonFRPS.

Every print sale will also be entered into a raffle to find three winners who will receive a special day with acclaimed photographer and educator, Professor Paul Hill MBE FRPS.

The print sale will run from 1 – 30 April 2022.

"It is incredibly humbling to see so many Members of the RPS ask the Society to do something in support of the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.  I am indebted to Professor Paul Hill MBE FRPS and to the RPS staff team for working at great speed and with such incredible commitment to see this initiative take shape.  Of course, my most heartfelt thanks must go to the Fellows and Honorary Fellows who have so willingly and generously agreed to donate one of their photographs to this most worthy cause." – Simon Hill HonFRPS

About the DEC

DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care. £50 could provide blankets for four families to keep them warm. £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month.
