The Postal Portfolio is a method for Contemporary SIG members to view prints and books made by other members and get feedback on their images.
The long-standing method has been by the circulating of boxes containing members’ work. Although this continues to being the main function of the Postal Portfolio members are now also regularly meeting online to show and discuss images. In addition, the members of the Postal Portfolio have now also formed a book club for their members to discuss available published photographic books. (‘Hold Still’ by Sally Mann, ‘The ongoing Moment’ by Geoff Dwyer and ‘Pandora’s Camera’ by Joan Fontcuberta being among the first to be discussed.)
