Photographers often experience the equivalent of ‘writers block’ in which photography becomes repetitive, and no new ideas come to mind. In this workshop John explores ways to reawaken visual creativity and demonstrates techniques for producing striking and distinctive new pictures.
Subjects include:
- Photographing detail and pattern
- Abstract photography
- New angles on flowers
- Combining filters and textures in software
- Creative Photoshop blurring and distorting
- Monochrome and negative images
- Minimalist and high key photography
- Unusual subjects
The day is relaxed and participative with demonstrations and discussion opportunities. Many of the approaches are based on digital manipulation so familiarity with imaging software is helpful. John’s demonstrations will use Photoshop, but the techniques can be replicated on most photography software.
This workshop will be for 8 - 10 people only and will be the same as a face to face workshop, just from the comfort of your own home. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with working on-line the tutor will be there to guide you through each step.
