The Nature Group resumed Field meetings with a trip to Royston Heath in Hertfordshire to photograph the very delicate Pasque flowers. They grow low in the turf so the only method to get a good photograph is to find flowers on the edge of a patch so you can lie down without damaging any plants and shoot the blooms at ground level. Here are Nick and Chris getting on with the job.

John Harvey had the foresight to also bring a long lens so was able to photograph this Kestrel which came very close - probably to see what the bodies were on the ground.
