After many hot sunny days, the 23rd July was cloudy and considerably cooler so the butterflies were not very active. The hoped-for Purple Emperors and White Admirals stayed high in the trees but we did get good views of Silver-Washed Fritillaries and a host of other insects. Thanks Matt Clarke for arranging this, certainly worth a return visit next year.
