On Saturday, the Nature Group held a Macro and Focus Stacking Workshop at Epping Forest Field Studies Council Centre, its first since the Lockdown in March 2019. Duncan Locke and Qasim Syed demonstrated to groups of participants their techniques for photographing Fungi. There were fungi around to practise our techniques but, with so much human activity in the Forest now, these tended to be small and require sharp eyes to spot them and close-up techniques to photograph them. In the photos, you can see some of the group members at work and a photograph of a Mycena crocata by Qasim that has been focus stacked from several images and then combined with a light-painted image to lighten the subject where required.
