A party of 10 Nature Group Members enjoyed a warm sunny day at Lackford Lakes, serenaded by Spring Migrants including Cuckoo, Reed Warbler, Black Cap, Garden Warbler and Nightingale.
The stars of the day were definitely the Green hairsteaks - such a wonderful jewel of a butterfly which repeatedly came close for portraits. We photographed several other butterflies including Speckled Wood, Duck bugs, Wasp Species, Muntjac Red Damseflies and a very obliging Winter moth caterpillar
