A party of 5 Nature Group Members enjoyed a wide variety of wildlife photographic subjects at Lackford Suffolk Wildlife Trust Reserve on a warm sunny day.

We started with two Hummingbird Hawkmoths constantly hovering on the Buddleia bush near the centre plus a very active Hornet that captured a bee and made short work of removing the wings before carrying off to its nest.

We then split into two groups - one concentrating on Macro subjects in a favourite area of the reserve and rewarded with a Wasp Spider guarding her cocoon, Grasshoppers and several different Hemiptera (Plant Bug) species.

After lunch back at the centre we all spent a long while and lots of frames (thank goodness for digital cameras) photographing a very close Great White Egret as it caught Dragonflies and small fish.
