Street Photography Initiative

The joint initiative between Digital Imaging and two Regional Groups involved delivery of a Zoom talk on Street Photography aimed at providing participants with some ideas for an excursion.

Regional groups in SW England and Southern Scotland arranged 5 photowalks followed by discussion events.

Scottish walks were held in Glasgow (led by Clive Watkins) and Dunfermline (led by Monica Vella). The weather for both walks was decidedly inclement, which made for some atmospheric images, not to mention enjoyable chats in a coffee shop! Participants got together at SW Scotland Photoforum, or in a Zoom group for the Eastern band, to share some of their images and discuss the initiative.

It was agreed that the events were well worthwhile, face-to-face meetings were appreciated and the groups enjoyed discussing the results. Both the branches involved were keen to repeat the format with other topics.
