The Pauls of Newport

A personal world created in lockdown by Paul Boschen

South Wales Region member, Paul Boschen, has created a personal project 'The Pauls of Newport' as part of his own recovery from COVID19 Coronavirus and dealing with the subsequent lockdown. Paul is a teacher in Newport, and lives there with his wife Janette.

The Welsh and UK Governments imposed the lockdown from March 2020 to protect members of the public and local and national Public Health Services as there is as yet no vaccine available to treat the virus. As of July 2020, the lockdown is being lifted in a phased approach.

The lockdown imposed movement restrictions and asked people to stay at home other than for essential work activities, food shopping and medical related visits to doctors and chemists.

The lockdown measures effectively created a mini world within the confines of a house and garden.

In his response to this situation Paul has created his own mini world illustrated with his photographs and developed rules to the mini-world he has inadvertently created:

There will only ever be one Janette

There is never any blood

Any injuries are cartoon in nature

Photos must be able to be shown to your nan and your 3 yr old niece

Paul and Janette have chosen their favourite images from the 80+ images posted in his private Facebook account and these are displayed here in this article.

Paul will accept Facebook Friend requests if anyone want to see all the images.

The latest post and image the Pauls have made on Facebook tells of a new photobook
