Sheffield Great Flood of 1864
To commemorate the Sheffield great Flood of 1864, photographer Martyn Pearson has created two exhibitions of contemporary photography. One exhibition follows the path of the flood from Dale Dyke Dam to the Wicker Arches in the Centre of Sheffield. The other exhibition depicts some of the artefacts relating to the flood. These exhibitions form part of other flood events across the city of Sheffield.
Sheffield Great Flood Landscape Photography Exhibition
Location: St. Nicholas Church, Jane Street, High Bradfield, Sheffield S6 6LG
Opening event: Saturday 9th March at 12 noon.
Closes: Tuesday 7th May at 4.00pm.
Opening Times: Monday through to Saturday, 10.00am until 4.00pm. Sunday, 12noon until 4.00pm.
Sheffield Great Flood Still-Life Photography Exhibition
Location: Sheffield Central Library – Entrance Hall, Surrey Street, Sheffield S1 1XZ
Opens: Saturday 2nd March.
Closes: Saturday 27th April.
Opening Times: Monday through to Friday: 10.00am to 5.00pm. Saturday: 10.00am to 4.00pm
