I took these photos to show what it feels like to be a young carer. In my personal opinion these photographs show my emotions, and capture the feeling of being a carer for a family member. I believe that the meaning behind my photographs convey a sense of growing up in a situation where you have to be strong, and these images show the other side, the side where you allow yourself to relax and take a breath. My photography reflects my interests and hobbies and especially my passion for photography. I think that my photography is unique because it shows the vulnerable side of young carers and the importance of looking after our mental health.
NATURE
This is my first time using the 10 seconds timer on my phone, absolutely love how it came out. I also love that my bag is in the shot, gives a sense of spontaneity - I love photography!

HAPPY PLACE

This bench has always been my happy place when I moved here. It has been a place that feels like my rock over the last couple years - I feel like when I’m there I can relax and just think freely.

DETAILED NATURE

This is one of my favourite photos I’ve taken, I love how the main bud in is focus and everything else is out of focus. I took this when I decided to just go out and have a wonder and take some photos and I came across this on a wall and I just fell in love with it!
