Statement of Intent
This series explores the nature of beauty through lines, curves and subtle variations of light and shade which produce images that may resonate with the viewer. Within the images each line, whether concrete or implied, is imbued with a unique character; some parts clean and defined, others gossamer and ephemeral; but always with a sense of elegance and beauty. The stability or dynamism of the images emanates from the flow of the line and the creation of depth through the choice of lighting.
What has been photographed to produce these images is less important than the sense of mystery and beauty they create although, in reality, they are nothing more than pieces of white paper carefully curled and lit.
