Statement of Intent
This panel takes inspiration from Ben Nicholson's Neo-Plastic art movement, offering a sense of purity and spirituality with the marrying of form, line and shape for a defined space.
Photographed within Zaha Hadid's Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku, I explore subtle depth, light and shadow using minimalistic high key compositions focusing on shallow, white reliefs. The reliefs convey my interpretation of the variations around simple geometric configurations within the building's interior.
